About Our Founder
Carol began her interest in health and beauty through the inspiration of her grandmother, a nurse and midwife who created her own homeopathic blends to help treat her patients and family alike. While studying fashion design and merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Carol worked as a makeup artist to help pay her way through school. As a makeup artist, Carol made the decision to expand her knowledge of beauty and skin care by becoming a licensed esthetician. Eventually, Carol left the design world and went on to fully pursue her interest in skin care. Since then, she has worked with dermatologists and plastic surgeons offering a variety of therapies including facials, acne treatments, peels, electrolysis, and micro dermabrasion.
Carol went on to become the owner and founder of Skin Essentials in Miami, Florida where she had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clientele including Madonna, the Bob Marley Family, elite models, cheerleaders, the Miami Heat basketball players as well as their wives. As a lifelong student of beauty and natural health, Carol has become trained as an aroma therapist and continues to develop her custom blend beauty products. Today, Carol offers her services at several skin care centers in the Port St Lucie area creating her exclusive blends for her Skin Essential Natural skin care line, rendering facials and various skin care treatments, as well as advising and speaking as a holistic skin care expert.
